The Irish famine (an Gorta Mór) from 1845 – 1852 left a significant impact on Ireland. The memory of this tragic time has instilled a sense of empathy in the Irish people with impoverished nations.

Over the past 40 years, Murphy of Ireland have strongly supported the work of Irish charity, Concern Worldwide, an international humanitarian organization dedicated to tackling poverty and suffering in the world’s poorest countries.
